Masons Wet-Dry Bulb Hygrometer is used to calculate the water vapour content (relative humidity) of air at a given temperature.
The instrument is made up of two indentical thermometers, one a wet bulb, and the other a dry bulb. The wet bulb thermometer has it's bulb wrapped in a tight fitting muslin cloth material (wicking) which is soaked in water. When the thermometers are ventilated the wet bulb temperature will be lower than the dry bulb temperature.
Subtracting the wet bulb reading from the dry bulb reading yeilds the Wet Bulb Depression.
Housed in a yellow plastic case with lid and bulb protection, these Red Spirit Hygrometers are available in two ranges; -5/+50°C or -5/+100°C
The Masons Hygrometer is supplied with Hygrometric tables, spare wick and instructions.
